Spring 2022 Fundraiser
The Four Oaks Volunteer Fire Department has provided many years of service to the citizens and visitors of Four Oaks and the surrounding communities. Our more than 70 dedicated volunteers assist with fire protection, rescue operations, and medical response to residents in over a 43-square-mile jurisdiction. Last year we assisted on over 900 emergency calls while also participating in many educational and community events.
Our volunteers are driven by a strong desire to help people in the event of an emergency. Twenty-four hours a day, 365 days a year, day or night, we leave our homes, jobs, and families to help in your time of need. We also take great pride in our department. This past year we are very proud to announce that we improved our insurance rating from a four to a three for our citizens. We also obtained heavy-duty rescue, swift-water rescue, and surface-water rescue certifications while maintaining our classification as an EMT response department.
Offering the high-quality services our community deserves does unfortunately come at a financial cost, and it is time for our spring fundraising event. We will not be going door to door for donations. Instead, we are mailing this letter to each resident and property owner requesting financial support. We hope you appreciate this less intrusive method and show your support by using the enclosed envelope to mail your donation directly to us. As we are a non-profit organization, your donation is 100% tax deductible. All donations will be used to upgrade our rescue equipment.
We are continuing to upgrade our hydraulic rescue tools to battery-powered rescue tools. Battery-powered tools have advanced to a point they achieve the same high tool performance, but at a significantly higher speed compared to their hydraulic counterparts with no set-up time as they are immediately deployable. In addition, they are more versatile, require less storage space, and offer a safer working environment as they don’t require separate hydraulic pumps and hoses. The upgraded rescue equipment will ensure we have the tools to serve the community in a time of need.
Four Oaks fire personnel are your local emergency first responders. We are here to serve you in your greatest time of need. Please support our efforts by sending in your donation today. Your contribution will help us update our vehicle rescue equipment in order to continue providing the best emergency service available.
Thank you in advance for your continued support!
